Boho Labs is a boutique advisory focused on crypto regulatory strategy, compliance programme design, and internal investigations.
We advise founders, boards, and senior leaders on navigating regulatory risk, building effective anti-bribery and fraud frameworks, and conducting sensitive internal investigations involving employee misconduct, conflicts of interest, and governance failures.
Our Founder, Harminder Gill, didn't discover crypto through work. She discovered it as a user, having held wallets, traded on exchanges, navigated custody, and dealt with on- and off-ramps since 2020. That lived experience became a conviction that digital assets are redefining finance, trust, and ownership.
As a legal and compliance professional, Harminder has spent 26+ years across APAC and EMEA, most recently as General Counsel - Legal and Compliance at a MAS-regulated Major Payment Institution in Singapore. She has built legal departments and compliance programmes from the ground up, led complex cross-border investigations, and provided hands-on legal and compliance advice in crypto. Before crypto, she spent over 8 years in regional and global compliance leadership roles, including seven years at Elsevier (RELX Group) building their global anti-bribery compliance function, running complex investigations globally, and strengthening third-party risk controls.
Harminder's approach is practical and root-cause focused: she gets to the heart of issues, builds systems that work in reality, and coaches teams to operate independently rather than creating dependency.
Harminder is a Barrister-at-Law (Middle Temple), Advocate & Solicitor (Malaysia), and holds the CCEP-I certification (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – International). Harminder completed the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Crypto Compliance at the University of Zurich in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Digital Law LLM at King's College London. She is in the process of getting certified as a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner).
